J. E. B. Stuart pictured on Ulster mural

Here's a mural I took a picture of in Belfast in 2007 ( I believe). JEB Stuart is pictured here, a cavalary general in the C. S. A. military.

  1. No Surrender.... William Bryand of Bryans Station. Officer Commanding- Fort Defender. Refused to surrender to Simon Girty and 300 Shawnee Indians as well as Canadian and British troops in 1782 in the Kentucky wilderness, outside what is now Lexington Kentucky. William, Morgan and James Bryan were direct descendants of Sir Francis Bryan who was King Williams Standard bearer at the battle of the Boyne. Sir Francis married Sarah Brinker, a cousin of the Princess of Orange! The Scots Irish Americans, Always Lead The Way. American Stong. No Surrender...

  2. Robert Edward is my third cousin, generations removed. I have to check, which ancestor came from Northern Ireland. We Remember. American Strong!
